You can start with the price tag I suppose, but is there a greater value? The average laptop costs about £500 but you can easily spend upwards of £1000, particularly if you’re a Mac user. Let’s say your laptop lasts 5 years, before it gives up the ghost after one too many knocks. If using a laptop sleeve adds 6 months to the lifetime of your prized machine then you’re adding 10%. My maths might well get corrected, but that’s worth about £50-£100. Better than a boot in the balls. There’s also the thought that using a sleeve helps prevent catastrophic failure (resulting in painful loss of data, worth much more than the price tag)
